Gift bag

This gift bag was made from two 12 x 12 heavy cardstock. I got the idea from Joy's life video blog. You start off with 2 12 x 12 paper. Then score at 2.5 on 3 sides. Cut the end pieces where the score lines intersect. Do this again on the other piece. Fold up the scored lines and use the bone folder to crease. Glue the 2 small bottom pieces and fold in to glue together.  Do this on the other sheet so both pieces look the same. Put glue on bottom and sides and put it inside the other one and press down for the glue to hold. Then take a hole punch and punch two holes on each side in about the same place. Thread the ribbon in on both holes and tie knots. Do the same on the other side. If making a smaller bag, score at 1 inch.
Materials:
2 12 x 12 pieces of cardstock (or if making a small bag 2 8 x 8 pieces)
Quick dry glue
Scissors
Ribbon

Craft fair

Exciting news!  Yesterday December 7, 2012, I did my very first craft fair where I had my cards for sale!  The table cost $35.00 and I was hoping to at least sell enough to cover that but I made that much and more. It was a long day.  The fair started at 7:30 am and went to 5:00 pm. It was held at the local hospital so they wanted let the employees have a chance to attend. I sold 37 cards. Much more than I expected.
There were 28 tables and 3 of us were selling cards.
The nice part was the hospital fed us for free. They had bagels and muffins in the morning and pizza, salad and sandwiches for lunch. We didn't have to leave our tables, they brought us the food and drinks to our table.
I did get tired and a little silly near the end but had a good time.
My ego has picked up , met a lot of nice people and I now realize that my cards are worth selling.

Froggy pedestal card

This card was made for a friend who is having surgery. I got the idea from Cardz TV video. The frog was cut from paper doll dress up at 5.5 inches. You can find him on pg. 55. I added google eyes.
